There is a lot of advice in this book! Most of the helpful tips were easy to understand and implement. I also liked that this book covered the different phases in life that women are interacting with men. I felt that by covering the different relationships she was able to offer some well rounded and great advice. I gave this book 5/5 stars. I liked her writing style, which was not condemning in any way! I would recommend this book to any woman looking to improve her relationships with the men around her. I also would recommend any of her other book which are all helpful and well written!

I would like to thank the publisher for the copy of this book I enjoyed reading. I gave an honest review based on my opinion of what I read.

I love that she tackled every subject dealing with love and relationships as a Christian. There were so many hard pills to swallow, but as I take in more living water, they go down easier.

About the Author
George Samuel Clason was born in Louisiana, Missouri, on November 7th, 1874. He attended the University of Nebraska and served in the United States Army during the Spanish-American War. A successful businessman, he founded the Clason Map Company of Denver, Colorado and published the first road atlas of the United States and Canada. In 1926, he issued the first of a famous series of pamphlets on thrift and financial success, using parables set in ancient Babylon to make each of his points. These were distributed in large quantities by banks and insurance companies and became familiar to millions, the most famous being “The Richest Man in Babylon,” the parable from which the present volume takes its title. These “Babylonian parables” have become a modern inspirational classic.

This book is AMAZING! I read it over the weekend and my ...

This book is AMAZING! I read it over the weekend and my husband and I have already starting making changes to our budget. I loved it so much that I convinced my husband to listen to the Audiobook version on Youtube (he doesn't like to sit and read as much as I do). We have been doing several of the methods in the book already, but neither of us had ever seen the information presented in such an easy, relatable way. My husband is already pretty savvy with money and formulating budgets (alas, I am not so much), but I know that the lessons we learned in this book will take our finances to another level. We have decided to simplify our life and will save (and then invest) the 10% in an extra savings account over the next 12 months. My favorite quote from the book is "A part of all you earn is yours to keep". You can't go wrong ordering this book. I plan to give it out to family members as Christmas gifts at the end of the year!

Content is good but my GOD

Content is good but my GOD, did you really have to have every sentence written as if it was written before Christ. Unless your familiar with bible reading and understand "thee, thow, thus, thy, and many other words used in ways that could have been much better" I still suggest to read but I would have never nor will I ever read another book written this way. The knowledge is good but not the read.

About the Authors Julian J. Dominguez, LMFT, received his master's degree from Chapman University in marriage, family, and child counseling. He is a licensed MFT and his specialties include child welfare, sexual assault, vicarious trauma, and critical incident debriefing. He has worked for DCFS since 1996. As a family group decision-making practitioner, he facilitated over 1,500 family and emancipation conferences. Melinda Murphy, M.A., worked in child welfare for over twenty years. She is currently a social work investigator with a nonprofit agency in Los Angeles. She earned her master's at the University of Nevada, Reno, was a caseworker with Children of the Night, which helped get children in prostitution and pornography off the streets of Hollywood, and then worked with DCFS. The truth of a corrupt and broken system.....Families have been harmed!!!!

As a current CSW for LA County DCFS I can attest to all that was written in the book and so much more. I entered this field to do good and help families only to find that LA County DCFS is only out to harm. The book references that DCFS will do anything to build a case against a family and that includes lying on reports, omitting evidence or proof that a parent is following orders and making up things. I have personally gone to management over court reports missing information only to have my job threatened. When workers find that they are wrong they will go above and beyond to hide the truth and do whatever they can to make the parent look GUILTY. This book only cracks the surface of the problems within the system. This book should be required reading by the LA County Board of Supervisors, Phillip Browning current DCFS Director and anyone who in the training academy. Like the book references, there are some very good, ethical workers but that is far and in between. Think of this book exposure like the LA Police Rampart Division exposure. The bad has more power and will drown out the words of the good workers with internal promotions and the ability to target those who are considered trouble makers.

Assault and Neglect by LA County

This is a mind-blowing, first person account of how DCSF has affected and damaged the llves of children and their families under their jurisdiction... The narrative is down to earth and personal, sympathizing in many ways with the role of the CSW.and the fear they face in their jobs . It highlights the difficulty of getting the true picture of the conflicting roles in the agency.
It is too bad that the Commission members investigating DCFS didn't read this breathtaking book.

A MUST READ

This is a very insightful informative book about a system that has ruin so many lives under the auspicious mission statement of protecting and strengthening children and families in Los Angeles County. The authors have done an excellent job of bringing to the forefront (to name a few) treachery, falseness, fraud, dishonesty, fabrications, misrepresentations, smears, inaccuracies, and slanders.

This book is not only for Social Workers but for anyone (service providers, stakeholders, contractors, concerned citizens) who works within or have knowledge of this corrupt system. Readers should be mindful that this book barely touches the surface but brings up excellent discussion and starting points for reform and change.

Excellent tool for true beginners

Fresh out of college with my first "real" job, I went in search of a book aimed at someone with absolutely no investment experience or education. This book has served my purposes perfectly. Aimed at the small investor, this book helps you create a portfolio appropriate to your financial needs, with the result that you are able to start planning for the future without getting in over your head. Easy to read, written in layman's terms with explanations of the basic investment jargon. If your looking to take responsibility for your finacial future, but don't necessarily want to be immersed in Wall Street, this book is for you.

Greatest resource for new investors

This book is the best book on investing I have ever read. It is filled with numerous addresses, phone numbers, and websites with a wealth of investment knowledge. Her illustrations and definitions of various investment terms were the clearest I have seen. I read the entire book in less than 24 hours. I have never saved a dime in my life, but this book inspired me to get a savings account, a CD, and I'm looking for a broker in order to invest in mutual funds. Anyone who needs information on investing should buy this book.

About the Author
Werner Keller (1909-1980) was a German civil servant, journalist, and anti-Nazi resistance fighter. In 1955 he published The Bible as History, his best-known book, which correlated the text of the Bible with the results of archaeological diggings in the Middle East, and has been translated into more than 20 languages and updated in two revised editions. He is also the author of The Etruscans.
